1. About Us
Off Grid Rivalry (OGR) is a multi-sport challenge platform being developed by OFF GRID RIVALRY LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom.
For privacy enquiries, contact: info@offgridrivalry.com.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the services used, we may process account information, contact details, sporting activity information, GPS routes, challenge submissions, performance results, uploaded videos and technical information necessary to operate and secure the platform.
Our platform is currently in development. Not all features or data processing activities described in this policy are operational.
3. Garmin Connect Integration
We intend to offer an optional Garmin Connect integration, subject to approval from Garmin and implementation of the required technical safeguards.
If enabled and authorised by the user, this integration may allow us to receive completed activity information, including timestamps, distance, duration, GPS routes, speed, pace, elevation and other relevant activity metrics.
We intend to use this information to identify sporting challenge attempts, calculate results, verify performances and update user-authorised challenge records.
We will not access Garmin Connect activity data through this integration without the required user authorisation.
4. How We Use Personal Information
We use, or intend to use, personal information to operate accounts, provide challenge functionality, process activity submissions, calculate results, manage leaderboards, respond to enquiries and protect the platform against misuse.
Where required, we will identify and document the applicable lawful basis for each processing activity before it begins.
5. Location and GPS Privacy
GPS information can reveal sensitive details about a person's movements and regular locations.
We intend to limit public visibility of private activity routes and provide appropriate controls over challenge submissions and shared content.
Public challenge information may include a challenge route, chosen display name, performance result and leaderboard ranking where the user chooses to participate.
6. Sharing Information
We do not intend to sell personal activity or GPS data.
Personal information may be processed by authorised technology providers where necessary to operate the platform, subject to appropriate contractual and security safeguards.
Details of relevant providers and international transfers will be confirmed before production processing begins.
7. Security and Storage
We intend to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures, including secure authentication, access restrictions, protected communications and appropriate data storage controls.
Our production database and Garmin integration have not yet been fully implemented. We will review these measures before processing production Garmin activity data.
8. Retention and Deletion
We intend to retain personal information only for as long as necessary for its stated purpose, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Specific retention periods will be established before the relevant processing begins.
Users may request access to or deletion of their personal information by emailing info@offgridrivalry.com.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable UK data protection law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of their personal information, as well as data portability and withdrawal of consent where applicable.
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Cookies and Website Technology
Our website may use technical functionality necessary for delivery, security and performance.
We will provide additional information and obtain consent where required before deploying non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Off Grid Rivalry develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page, with an updated revision date.
